As a landscape artist, I spend a lot of time outside in search of that special place. The place that becomes a part of your dreams...and beckons you back time after time.  Stillwater River Prairie Preserve is that special place for me.  The walk thru the woods and prairie down to  the river is very scenic but my favorite place is down on the river’s edge where the slabs of limestone form the river bottom. One can walk from rock to rock across the river when the water is low.  The view is spectacular in every direction and in every season.
